Anapana Practice

It is observed that daily practice of Anapana Meditation by children helps them to improve concentration of minds, awareness and alertness of the mind, improve self discipline, increases memory, decision making power, increases self confidence, overcome fear, anger, nervousness increases capacity to work, better performance in studies, sports and extra curricular activities. There are no rites or rituals involved in the practice of Anapana, therefore practicing it is essential for developing new generation of healthy mindset. In view of the above, it is thought fit to introduce Anapana practice in all schools for the students from 5th standard and above.

To facilitate students to derive maximum benefit from Anapana meditation practice

1. It should be practiced for 10 min duration and in languages easily understandable to students.

2. It can be conducted in a classroom or during assembly.

3. It shall be practiced as per instructions provided through the audio track.

4. It is essential that during the practice session complete silence is observed by all.

5. Practice sessions can be conducted daily at the start and closer of school.
